The milk frothing system for the lattego is unrivaled imo. You fill the carafe with milk then connect it. When you are done, you wipe the pour spout and put the leftover milk filled carafe into the refrigerator for later. Other counter systems require cleaning or purging.

It's easily one of the best features for the uninitiated or lazy like myself.

Also has a quick clean feature for the lattego milk container. 3000 series doesn't have it

That is disappointing to hear.I just filed a claim also. Without the CB, I would take a hard look at the Gaggia Magenta Prestige at $799. https://www.amazon.com/Gaggia-Mag...275&sr=8-7

Or even the Gaggia Cadorna Prestige which has excellent requires but is a bit more pricey but on sale at Amazon for $1399 which is the lowest it's been on a new unit. Pair that with a Amazon Prime credit card to save an additional 5%.
I was looking at the Velasca from wholelattelove. That's more in line with my needs. Either way, I have it now, and Philips does free returns, so there's that.

Thanks a ton, OP! I placed the order for the 3200 LatteGo on Prime day. But this deal is too good to pass. With 25% ID me for healthcare and 10% TCB. The price difference between the 4300 from the Philips website and the 3200 from Amazon is probably $50.
P/S: the code from ID me was not working for me- so I chated with a rep to get a new code!

Got mine yesterday.
It was disappointing at first, but I got it dialed in after many many bad shots. Works a treat now.

TCB sucks as they did not register my purchase. Fie on them.
Have you ever used a semi auto machine like the Breville Barista? If so, what's your opinion on comparing the two?

I have a Breville 870XL, a Nespresso, and now the 4300.

The Breville is over 10 years old and still going (with some water leakage) and it does a good job and is more forgiving of bean types, but for milk based drinks, the 4300 tastes about the same. I have a routine with the Breville and don't do a lot of tweaking on it, and the consistency is variable because I hand tamp it.
The doser on the 4300 is tiny, so I have to do a double espresso and a latte to get the equivalent coffee I get from the Breville, but convenience is far far better, and again, the taste is about the same.
The Nespresso is just a quick shot espresso drink thing I use at the cabin for utmost convenience.

Wait, what? I got the 3200 for $420; this one would be $899 - 25% (if you qualify on ID.me) = $675 - 10% CB = $607. That's still almost $200 difference.

What am I missing?

I have a Barista Touch (have to grind, tamp, etc.), and JUST got the Philips 3200 from Prime Day for $420 to compare.

For my wife and I, the Barista was too much. It was hard to get shots dialed in consistently, and a lot to clean each time. Awesome machine though, and if you want the experience of learning to tamp, adjust grind size, "dialing it in", etc., it's great.

But we stopped using it because it was too much work, especially before you have your coffee in the morning (Catch 22, I know). I've only tried the 3200 out yesterday and today, but the few shots I've pulled tasted good, and it is very easy to use. I still miss the controls and customizability of the Barista Touch, but at the end of the day the goal is just a good cup of coffee, and this does it with ease.

We've been using a Nespresso for years, tried to replace it with the Touch, but went back to it (for the good of the marriage). I'm hoping the 3200 will be our way to get out from under Nestle's incredibly talented (but evil in many ways) coffee-making thumb. And, if I did the math right, save a few bucks, too.

Oh, and I can't speak to the LatteGo attachment, but in my experience, the whisk-spinner frother from Nespresso works better than the two actual steam wands I've tried. And easier to maintain. But obviously I'm not a true latte aficionado, so YMMV.

For a steam wand to work properly it needs lots of steam. The only way to get that is with a big water boiler, and no super-automatic has that. And yes, I've seen quite good results from stand-alone milk frothers - certainly better than what you get from super-automatic wands. One of the reasons that people pay $1000's for (semi-automatic) espresso machines is to get a big steam boiler that can produce good microfoam.

LatteGo adds $200 to the cost of either machine.

Lattego is one of the main perks of the Philips machines that sets itself apart from other superautomatics. Having used Jura machines the milk canister can't compare to the ease of lattego use and cleanup.

It's not worth the difference in price. The 5400 gives you more options for drinks but if all you're going to do is lattes or coffees, the extra drink options don't make the $1000 price tag for the 5400 worth it

Trying to decide which to keep, 3200 lattego with extra filter for $575 or 4300 for $675....I have both ordered, I thought I was crazy for the $575 and due to slickdeals I am now at the 4300, hopefully the 5400 doesn't come in stock. If the cb of 10% works on the 4300 it will be a no brainer but I don't really have faith in it.

Setup the machine yesterday and I'm pretty impressed. Was set on getting a Gaggia Cadorna Prestige or Delonghi Dinamica Plus but after finding this deal it was hard to pass up giving it a try. I've had a Delonghi Magnifica for nearly a decade and it was built like a tank but started giving issues recently. Wanted a superautomatic with auto milk capabilities and easy cleanup and the lattego system is a game changer. Espresso quality is pretty solid/comparable to the Delonghi which I was satisfied with. I set the strength to high, set the grinder level to 4 and kept the volume as is and used lavazza super crema beans. Only thing I wish it had was double shot setting for milk based drinks. Double shot is available on the non milk drinks though. A family member has had the 3200 for a while and the 4300 is a nice upgrade. The screen helps with custom profiles and gives reminders for maintenance. I'll be keeping the machine and after the healthcare discount and if the 10% CB actually arrives, the deal is hard to beat.

25% off coupon if anyone wants to get it. I thought about it but since cashback is an uncertainty I'll stick with my Amazon 3200.

Love my 5400. One of the best features that sets it apart from the 4300 is the option to make double shot beverages. Then you can also use more milk and essentially make a drink twice as big.
