The milk frothing system for the lattego is unrivaled imo. You fill the carafe with milk then connect it. When you are done, you wipe the pour spout and put the leftover milk filled carafe into the refrigerator for later. Other counter systems require cleaning or purging.

It's easily one of the best features for the uninitiated or lazy like myself.

Also has a quick clean feature for the lattego milk container. 3000 series doesn't have it

Yah that's what I thought. Also it self rinses I think on the 5400 anyway. I also like that you don't have to descale it for 5000 cups.

BUY BUY BUY. I had the Regular 4300 series but exchanged to the lattego after watching youtube videos on what I was missing out. I have starbucks at home every day Smilie

My brother has the Breville Barista pro and wishes he got the same one as mine. Manual doing your espressos take time plus the cleaning each time gets old fast. This Lattego you wash the brew unit once a month and empty the grind container when the machine tells you too. It's so simple.

Anyway you can assist with some tips? Have had it a week now - 40 cups later still not satisfied…
Medium roast dry beans.
Turns out setting the grind all the way doesn't necessarily make the best pull. Mine is set to a couple of notches off of 1 and I use Charleston coffee roasters for now. Set the bean quantity as high as it will go and not too much water. Temperature at max also.

It's not worth the difference in price. The 5400 gives you more options for drinks but if all you're going to do is lattes or coffees, the extra drink options don't make the $1000 price tag for the 5400 worth it
You are forgetting the extra profiles.

I would rather save the money and go for the Jura Giga X7.

Better machine.

Thanks a ton, OP! I placed the order for the 3200 LatteGo on Prime day. But this deal is too good to pass. With 25% ID me for healthcare and 10% TCB. The price difference between the 4300 from the Philips website and the 3200 from Amazon is probably $50.
P/S: the code from ID me was not working for me- so I chated with a rep to get a new code!
They just gave you a new code? Mine didn't work either, but they said someone would have to email me with a new one. So not sure if that will ever come or how long it'll be.

I got the 3200 on Prime day sale for $600ish. The lattego piece is alright. The latte foam is too bubbly but it does the job. The espresso seems a bit thin. In any case, I love that I don't need to dial in my shots and all that jazz in the morning. This is pivotal for my mornings. I save the Breville for the weekends.

I got a 3200. Latte go is fantastic relative to time and effort

I first tried with lavazza super crema and was very disappointed. When doing chemex i generally get partners or onyx coffee.

I always set bean quality to max and water lowest.

I couldn't figure out which way was 1 and which was 12 until i looked at the spent beans and i would say i have the grind setting on 3/4.

What do you mean temple at max?

I used the Philips chat support and they gave me a code when I was having issues with id.me showing the offer

Wait, what? I got the 3200 for $420; this one would be $899 - 25% (if you qualify on ID.me) = $675 - 10% CB = $607. That's still almost $200 difference.

What am I missing?
The 3200 was $620, not $420

Ok got it ordered.

5400 still my first choice. Stainless steel is the look I need to keep this on the counter. So fingers crossed it comes back in the return period, but not hopeful.

they are referring to the non-lattego version, which was that cheap.

digging the prime day 3200 so far. Wife likes it a lot. We have too many machines for our bean water.. Keurig, nespresso (w/frother), nice carafe drip system w/baratza encore grinder. Used to have one of the breville 870xl - was fun for awhile but ultimately too much effort most mornings.

At the end of the day a nespresso is good enough with the right pods, especially for iced milk-based starbucks imitations. I can make a shaken espresso or iced caramel mach indistinguishable from SBUX many have said.

But, if you have money to burn. the 3200 w/LG is a solid deal. I see no good reason to step up to the 4x or 5xxx models.
