The milk frothing system for the lattego is unrivaled imo. You fill the carafe with milk then connect it. When you are done, you wipe the pour spout and put the leftover milk filled carafe into the refrigerator for later. Other counter systems require cleaning or purging.

It's easily one of the best features for the uninitiated or lazy like myself.

Also has a quick clean feature for the lattego milk container. 3000 series doesn't have it

BUY BUY BUY. I had the Regular 4300 series but exchanged to the lattego after watching youtube videos on what I was missing out. I have starbucks at home every day Smilie

My brother has the Breville Barista pro and wishes he got the same one as mine. Manual doing your espressos take time plus the cleaning each time gets old fast. This Lattego you wash the brew unit once a month and empty the grind container when the machine tells you too. It's so simple.
Supposed to wash the brew unit weekly per the manual - fwiw.

Something to keep in mind is that these machines produce long shots compared to a "real" espresso machine. They grind coarser and typically brew hot without the typical pressures of a normal espresso machine. They do okay with darker and some medium roasts. If you want to try out newer light espresso roasts then they can't really do that. Just something to keep in mind if you are expecting cafe quality drinks. These will be serviceable but not the same.

Commenters are correct though, real espresso at home is a hobby which takes time. If you don't enjoy the nuances then these are the best you can get outside a cafe.

Do you guys have to dial in for EVERY new bag of coffee you get or once you find something, it's pretty consisent?

I stick to one local brand, but idk if small variances each time I buy the bag will require me to change?

Ok got it ordered.

5400 still my first choice. Stainless steel is the look I need to keep this on the counter. So fingers crossed it comes back in the return period, but not hopeful.
The 4300 and 5400 share the same metallic looking front trim, neither are fully stainless steel and still are mostly plastic but they do look premium and modern with the lcd. Most of the current gen superautos under $2k aren't stainless steel. Gaggia Velasca Prestige and Gaggia Anima Prestige are Stainless and have integrated milk carafe and under $850 but have a older UI/screen. The Gaggia Cadorna Prestige is the current gen version and it's a fake metallic plastic, looks nice though.

Buy this instead of Nespresso or Keurig.Upfront investment worth it and get cafe style coffees without being a barista.

Got it for cheap but this price is good for new.

I had the same issue. Someone said try to clear cache and use incognito mode.
I chat with an rep and give him the non-working code. He immediately give me (and email) the new working code.

Any beans that aren't oily will work just fine. Here are a couple that we like.
  • Stumptown Hairbender (Oregon based)
  • Groundwork Black Magic (Los Angeles based)
