The milk frothing system for the lattego is unrivaled imo. You fill the carafe with milk then connect it. When you are done, you wipe the pour spout and put the leftover milk filled carafe into the refrigerator for later. Other counter systems require cleaning or purging.

It's easily one of the best features for the uninitiated or lazy like myself.

Also has a quick clean feature for the lattego milk container. 3000 series doesn't have it

In case anyone is interested, these products are no longer made by Philips. They were sold off in 2020 and wholly divested in summer 2021. Same with lighting: although they have the Philips name, they aren't made by the company

this is the weirdest thing, i checked out on the main philips website, but was charged a 3% foreign transaction fee

so just FYI, anyone else still looking to buy, use a card that doesn't charge this fee

The Philips unit is made in Romania.
Saeco and Gaggia are owned by Evoca group. Not sure who owns the Philips domestic line of coffee machines.

Thats a slickdeal, now it makes the different over $150 for a 4300 vs 3200, trying to decide if that screen is worth that much to me

Hesitated, had 2 in my cart for my dad and I, never pulled the trigger as I already have a 3200 and two 4300s sitting at my house unopened

The screen and increased control over dosage (3 levels on the 3200 vs 5 levels on the 4300) were reasons why I returned my 3200 and got the 4300. Oh, and I preferred the silver body pieces on the 4300 vs the glossy black on the 3200.

But I was perfectly happy with the 3200. I should have stayed off SlickDeals and not seen this thread...LOL.

3200 for $525 definitely slick. But my 4300 have arrived a while ago and using it daily and I couldn't convince myself to go back without the profile.

Having said that, 3200 is the best bang for buck right now, and even more slick than the $575 Amazon front page deal.
