Controllers may not "snap" in but if you put them in properly you will hear a click and the controller led will flash to indicate that it's connected properly.

Already own and this is a fantastic charger. Controllers just sit on without some "snap" or strange connection and has dedicated power supply and not another USB plug. Great deal.

Right. But the ones with the rubber key you can put on without having to look at the light to see if it is on properly and in my experience, easier to mount the controller properly.

I returned it and bought a product that was more similar to the ps4 charging station I used for years and I am satisfied. If the OP station works better for you, I am happy for you. Not everyone desires the same features in products. I like my charging station to lock the controller in place. No need to be a jerk.
