In layman's terms, this is like a lambo in terms of WIFI hardware albeit gen 1 AX HW (Ignoring FW/SW incase theres issues).
Gen 2 stuff is rolling out now (BCM/QCA) so it make it kinda questionable in retrospec, but this platform was better than a lot of the gen1 4x4 BCM stuff in regards to pure performance in closed off testing environments.
8x8 for $225 though.. sheesh.
Edit: Btw that review might be skewed. Firmware has been changed multiple times (since that release) and theres a V2 revision with an IPQ8074A vs the original IPQ8074.
plus he's going to only test AUTO channels which i do not agree with, but thats me nitpicking.

The middle of the road stuff is always better due to lower accessible price points. Part of the reason I didn't click buy, even though I really wanted it.
As a router, its super high end, but thats a double edge sword. Also doesn't help that they're cant market it as "AX11000" due to the teamed 4x4 5G radios not supporting 160mhz in 8x8 mode.
some folks have suggested "sine" wave UPSes, that's wrong too, latest firmware is very stable on a stepped UPS.
have my router stats as an example, it's being used as an AX 5Ghz AP. 25 days+ on the latest firmware
