General:
- Take photos and/or video of the box prior to opening in case there's obvious issues
- Take a video while removing the panel from the box in case there's obvious issues
- Take a video of the first power on cycle in case there's obvious issues
- Take photos of any physical damage or other items you may need as evidence of DOA/replacement
Check usage and runtime:
- With the tv off
- On the remote quickly click [Display] [5] [Vol+] [Power]
- Go to the "Self Diagnosis History" selection on the top menu
- That brings you to a page titled "SELF CHECK"
- At the bottom left of that screen are three unlabeled 5-digit numbers. From left to right, they are: [Display Hours] [Boot Count] [Panel Hours]

- Every physical button on TV
- Every physical button on remote
- Every physical input on the TV, don't forget ethernet
- TV wifi (disconnect ethernet)
- Coax/antenna tuner can find/tune expected channels
