Bosch makes a decent impact bit. Maybe not the best but you're not going to find another 10-pack of 6" impact-rated bits for anywhere close to this price.

Only you will know if you really need them. I use the longer bits in my standard driver and drill more than my impact but it's nice to have them impact rated just in case, especially at this price. The most obvious use is when you can't get the driver into a work area or when you have a perpendicular surface near your screw (think inside cabinets or furniture). You can also use them to get a couple extra inches of reach while on a ladder. Definitely not an all-the-time thing.

Bosch bits are the absolute worst I have ever used. They generally make good stuff so I was surprised to find this to be the case, but seriously these will wear down so fast its not even worth your time.

This is impact but it won't stop anyone from using these with regular driver, right? I have the DeWalt Regular + Impact set and I use regular for almost every work because A) it's strong enough B) It can stop with the adjusted force so It stops stripping my screws or drilled holes.

I sometimes need a long enough driver bits, and this seems like a perfect thing,I just wish it was 50/50 philips/flat. Would something similar be at Home Depot?

Edit: To answer your other question, that might be tough to find in a 6" length. Mainly because the usefulness of a flat bit at 6" length is pretty low when used in a drill / driver. HD definitely stocks 3 & 6" Phillips bits in several brands but the longest flat length I've seen is 3", and even then the options are thin.

i just got my first impact driver the other day, why would i need 6' bits like these?

Wish it was the square drive #2 bits. Pocket holes require 6" bits.

You can probably get by with a 6" bit Holder / extension instead of a pack like this. Probably no reason you need this unless you specifically need this for a certain use case.

I prefer these as the extenders typically have a weak grip on the actual bit, so sometimes the bit falls off. With these, you get the extended reach with no chance of the bit falling off, and its slimmer than an extension for hard to reach places.

Agree with this entirely. However, I really don't have an application for phillips anymore. All the hardware I buy is either star or square. It's funny, I used to swear by square (Robertson) but I have moved away from them. I find that they strip a lot easier if the angle isn't perfect.

Also, god damn I am tired of switching between flat, phillips, star, and an occasional square when doing projects on my 1904 house. Constant, and I mean constant bit changes.

Everything needs to standardize to Torx lol. I cant stand Phillips for anything you need to drive in especially when you start to get tired. Flat isnt to bad since ive never ran into any that have been used to tighten anything down with a lot of force or is will be a machined screw that goes in pretty easy. I'm in different on Square heads, only really use them for kreg stuff and its normally on softer woods that wont have my bit bouncing to much if im not straight on.

I agree. Their fit is just to darn loose and screws strip so easily.
