These are nice packs but the 20L is small if you put a laptop in them.

Still the best! We use a few of the 20Lfor all our trips and a go to for day hikes. Even our oldest one looks pretty much like new after years of abuse and over packing... No zipper issues yet either.

Came to say what everyone else is. Awesome bags for the price. I've got a duffle and a 30L that get tons of use. The 30L is perfect to use as a carry on bag when flying. Its a bit too small for me for daily use.
If nothing else, buy one and keep it in your car for groceries.

The 30L served us very well for ten days at Disney World for two adults with lots of spare room. Was light and stuffed into rides, etc quite well.

I have one each of the Eddie Bauer 20L and LL Bean 20L (a couple of years old). The L.L. Bean is definitely more comfortable, has padded shoulder strap, a sternum strap and the pocket layout is better. The LL Bean bag also has a key hook in one of the pockets. But for 15 bucks you can't go wrong with the Eddie Bauer bag. Just be forewarned that just because you get a 20L bag doesn't mean you can put tons of weight in it. It's going to be really uncomfortable if you load that thing heavy.

Buy the 30L. Everyone in our family has one. I also bought their duffle bags. Just the best.
it is my go to carry on. you can fit a lot in the 30L.

i had 20L bag for last 5 years, and had put it through rigorous use, still going strong.
bought 30L for $20 and 15L cinch tote for $15

Did a bit of research and there is a Naturehike bag that's similar but packs down much smaller and weighs around 4 oz. This Eddie Bauer 20L seems much better quality than the Naturehike but weighs substantially more at 11os and packs down larger. Some pros and cons of each backpack. Thanks OP. Repped.

I have the 20L, it's a good bag for the price that's spacious enough for a day bag and has a couple useful pockets, but don't expect comfort. Since they're made to be pack-able, there's very little padding so if you carry anything heavy (like multiple bottles of water) all day then the straps will dig into your shoulders.
