ah gotcha. how is the screen sharpness and clarity with text? No bad pixels I'm assuming. Also got a LIM111
Everything looks great even though I haven't touched any of the settings. No bad pixels.

Wondering the same. If we open it, try it, and don't like it, we can still return it, right?

Got BOE shipped to El Paso, Tx from Aurora, Co

Should I just return it? Is the difference between panels that abysmal?

So I also got an LG from Vacaville, CA. Got both side by side with the BOE from Aurora. I honestly can't tell a difference between the two. Maybe I got lucky? So take this as my own experience as all panels are gonna be different and you may get unlucky or more lucky than me. Also, my eyes are pretty good, but it's not statistical data.

I did a white, red, green screen test to check for dead pixels, none on either panel. Did a full black screen in a pitch dark room and didn't notice any glaring light bleed one way or the other for either panel. Colors both look vibrant and bright compared to each other on a 4K video I shot with my iPhone12 Pro. There did seem like there was some resolution issues on the BOE where the image got blurry at some parts, but when I paused the video to really compare to the LG, I couldn't find it or it was just my eyes deceiving me. Did a very, very small gaming sample on both monitors and did not notice anything extremely different between the two. At this price, unless you find something glaringly wrong with the monitor, I think both panels are pretty decent at this price.

Oh, I also compared the LG side by side to the Dell S2721DGF as I bought that monitor a few weeks ago. The Dell is more vibrant in color, but I don't think the Dell is $125 better than the HP. I wouldn't pay the asking price for the HP now, but at $175, it's a no brainer. Take all this with a grain of salt as this is purely my experience with the three monitors in front of me and your experience may be different.

Are we able to exchange for replacement in hopes of getting a LIM? Or is it return only?

Tested the Lim 101 last night and left corners have light bleed. Tested with XSX and Mk11 looks good. Set to Srgb. Not sure if I like sitting at a monitor when I can sit on couch with 55 inches. More checking later.

Tested my monitor with the BOE panel. No dead pixels, no discernible light bleed. Viewing angles are good. Granted I'm coming from an older 1080p 60hz LG IPS, but color reproduction is very good. Gaming looks great.

Overall impression, great panel/value for the money even with the BOE panel. Had thought about returning it since I did not get the LG panel but keeping it now after testing.

Anyone tried using dual qhd monitors setup using hdmi port connected via a usbc hub? For some reason I'm only getting 2560x1080 resolution on the HP monitors while my other AOC monitor gets 2560x1440p, switching the cable and the port on the usbc hub still show the same thing. The only way to get the full 2560x1440p is to plug into the other available hdmi port on my laptop and the other hdmi using the usbc hub. Any one come across this issue?

Yeah. I get this issue on my work laptop. the problem is the usb c port has a limitation on resolution support. if you plug two 1080p monitors, it works. but if one of them is 1440p, it will downgrade the resolution to 1080p or not shown anything at all on one monitor. The work around is what you did by plugging a monitor directly to the laptop and leaving the other display on the usb c hub. I hate these new usb c hubs because the connection isn't stable like the proprietary hub/ports that were used by Dell and Lenovo years ago. The usb c is a great tech to be made as a display connection but it's limited because it also shares the usb bandwidth when using peripherals and flash drives.
