If anyone wants to setup a serious DIY array and your short on cash or you just want to play around with solar, avoid all these sales, go straight to bulk sales of used solar panels, you can get 250watt panels for under $70, 400watt panels ranging from $100-150 and the deals get better and better if you buy in bulk.

Depending on condition, some have snail tails which is just short for moisture leaks cause of micro fractures in the back of the panel, which by a lot of tests people saw less than a 2% decrease in performance. Other panels could just need new backing or framing, while others might just have lose wiring. There are tons that are just in good shape without any of the above too, just need to read the descriptions before your buying.

Its probably the easiest, cheapest, and best way to play around with solar before you decide to invest into a real system.

Was wondering and wanted to confirm. Found my question answered on the web page.

"I received 2 panels that are 100 watts each for a total of 200 watts."

At the risk of getting a lmgtfy url, what's the go to place for finding these bulk sales? Is there an aggregator / marketplace website?

Thanks. I'm just starting out in DIY solar. Where do you go for bulk sales? Any recommendations?

Ebay is your easiest option till you can find some resellers in your area, states like AZ/TX have tons of them reselling.

Sticking to ebay the only thing your on the hook for is shipping back if you decide you dont like them, so think long and hard, and if you pick a well established seller good rating feedback you should be perfectly fine.

Example link showing you all the goodness of ebay:
