Not sure if you know but you don't need a tb3 cable for 100 w charging. This is a much more expensive cable for the speed of data.

For thunderbolt 3/4 and USB 4 devices. Otherwise, you don't need it.

If you just need a longer charging cord, you can get 10 ft USB-C cables on Amazon for $8-10. we have several that we use with MacBook Pros and the apple charger bricks. Just make sure they have 100W capability.

Usually laptops with USB-C or thunderbolt. With a single cable you can charge the laptop, enable multiple USB ports on the display, and send video and audio. Power, data, and video can't all work with just any cable, especially for high watts, speed, resolution.

If any of you are setting up a thunderbolt audio interface (like the UA Apollo x series), these cables are needed (the ones with the small lightening bolt on the connector) to go between the audio interface and your Mac or PC. This fast data transfer is necessary to get such low latency recording from the interface.

Good price for a long TB3 cable.

tried this cable with my lenovo legion laptop and dell ultrawide monitor and it did not work - the cable killed itself and now does not work with anything. :/

Monoprice has a great lifetime warranty, so you should be able to contact them for a replacement

Don't forget to point out that while that pricey cable is longer it is not comparable because it doesn't provide power. (as far as I know to dat fiber optics doesn't do well with transferring power... something like conductivity or something i should have learned in physics class years ago.)

I just did a quick search and this one looks to be good. 100w charging and 20 gbps. But If you need tb3 speeds and have tb3 peripheral devices, this monoprice cables is a good deal.

Right, that particular cable is data only. It does not carry power.
