I've had one for 5 years in daily home use; it works and is accurate. The one drawback is it's somewhat slow to read: if your pouring/adding an ingredient to reach the weight specified in a recipe, it lags a second or so....so you overshoot the amount you want.
Anyone know if small baggies are also in sale?

Perfect for weighing and distributing your home grown basil this summer!!
pass on the minimum of 1 gram.

I would pay more to get to minimum of 0.1 gram for this type of small scale.

I bought the scale and I got it for less than $4. The scale is lightweight and feels cheap, like toy plastic. I have a scale that I bought from ALDI years ago for $10 that is better quality. As far as how it functions, it does what needs to be done. However, if you're buying it for sturdiness/stability, I wouldn't at retail price..

Bullcrap. Would not trust a scale that reads 0.1g to weigh a large quantity which is important when baking with flour or big ingredients. You can buy a jewelry scale and a bigger one for about $15 for both.

1 gram accuracy is pretty damn good. It's a food scale, after all. That's all the accuracy you need for recipes, or calorie counting, or whatever you plan to use it for in a kitchen. If you are using it to weigh gold dust, or other expensive powdered substances, you probably want to invest in one that goes down to .1g, but you won't find that for under $8 bucks. For most people, this is a great deal.
yeah you can. You can find .01 jewelry scales on amazon for $6. I just bough one

Same here. According to Amazon, I ordered mine on September 6th 2016 and we have used it nearly every single week since then. We weigh our home made dog food on it. It's been going strong for years. I would not hesitate to buy another one as it was cheap and it is accurate. First thing I did when I got it years ago, was test it to see if I needed to calibrate it. It was dead on. I'm a country boy, so I just used a lead fishing weight like a 3 ounce weight to test it lol. I know that sounds backwoods but it works
