Just got it delivered today. To whom it may matter, this is the "new" body without "Y" LED. Screen is 165Hz QHD, Gray keyboard (matching) Gen 7 SKU's. It is 3070 (not Ti) @ supposedly 140W. HAS G SYNC (confirmed in Nvidia settings), check with your monitor for settings/compatibility. Left 1 USBC is Thunderbolt (3/4?), back USBC PD is 135w chargeable. Comes with "slimmer" 300w Charger. Gbench 123K, Tspy 11.3k, Fstrike 24.8-25.1K @ 80-83C in dgpu/performance mode. Fan (mostly) always ON. Benchmarks of 3070ti/6800H were slightly "better" with temps @70-72C. Hope this helps.
Definitely entitled to your opinion. Obviously each person will need to decide if all of the differences add up to a $400 value for their particular use case. For me, the differences for content creation (mainly processor and read/write speed dependent) are significant and likely worth the added cost. Would mostly be using this plugged in for max performance, so battery life is not as important.
i7-12700H is about 15-20% faster than 5800H in single core and 25-35% faster in multi-core
Intel laptop has Gen4 PCIe with SSD read speeds over 7000 MB/s and the Ryzen version uses Gen3 PCIe which tops out around 3500 MB/s
Intel laptop has Thunderbolt 4 and Ryzen laptop does not have Thunderbolt
This computer's RAM is DDR5 with higher rated speeds than the DDR4 in the Ryzen model (not sure of the real-world difference, honestly)
This SSD has 100% more storage capacity (from the factory - if this was the only factor, it would be cheaper to upgrade the Ryzen)
At 150W it should perform very similarly as the 3070 Ti, you probably won't notice the difference when using, but you will notice the extra cost for the Ti model if they do add it in.
Do you see the 'Enable G-Sync' option in the Nvidia control panel? The spec sheet lists G-Sync but the option doesn't appear in the control panel to enable it.
Use Lenovo Vantage software to turn off Hybrid mode 1st.

Again, I appreciate the help but I've tried just about everything. I used Lenovo Vantage and Bios to put the laptop into dGPU mode rebooted and no luck. I urge others who have gotten a 2022 Legion laptop to try this. Others are reporting G-Sync is not coming up in Nvidia Control Panel, and have tried all the usual troubleshooting.

Can you do a fresh driver installation? Download DDU or Display driver uninstaller utility which is a free tool for completely removing display drivers, clean the registry and any residual files. Sometimes, the driver updates on top of your existing driver don't end properly, causing these kind of issues. download the latest NVidia driver from their site and install it after the uninstall by DDU. Also, I would suggest you to be in Hybrid or Optimus mode while doing it.

Unfortunately no, I attempted this and ran into conflict errors during the install after DDU. I reached out to Nvidia and they claim this laptop is tied to Lenovo drivers. I give up and will be taking this back since it's not offering G-Sync and this was part of the reason I bought this laptop.

Then your laptop probably having some quality control or firmware issues. I always install all the drivers in my Legion 5 Pro (5800H, RTX 3070) from the corresponding manufacturers' site instead of Lenovo site and never had any issues. For AMD, I simply download it from AMD site for my 5800H APU and for nVidia, it is via G-Forece experience and I never had any of such issues.

It's a problem with the 2022 Legion laptops, others are reporting this on Reddit.

Link the Reddit posts please. Looks like people have resolved it by updating bios or found solutions. I'm also positive Lenovo would sell the same panel as last years model which definitely does have G-sync
This (or the Ryzen version) is the laptop I want without such a beefy GPU. I don't need that kind of GPU in my laptop, but the other specs and number of ports would work very well for me.

I can confirm the same issue on my 3060 laptop. GSync is not showing up. You can't download the drivers from nvidia as they wont install. They will only accept drivers from Lenovo. Yes, I did the disable of hybrid and all that. It simply doesn't work and I am 100% done with Lenovo. I will not support a company who's devices dont function as advertised and I have not trust that they will actually fix it.

Please show me where people have resolved it. I have yet to see a single person figure out a solution. Putting it in hybrid mode doesn't work. You cant download laptop drivers directly from nvidia as they wont install. Only the nvidia drivers listed on Lenovos website can be installed. I checked to make sure I had the latest laptop BIOS.

Have you checked if there are any new Bios available? Even if it is not showing up in Lenovo Vantage -> Check for Update, head over to the support website and check there by providing exact model or serial #.

Looks like you need to make sure that hybrid mode is off and you'll be able to see gsync option.
I just got it this morning and haven't even opened the box so I haven't tried it yet.

Give it a shot when you boot up into dGPU mode.
