What does ad-lite mean? I pay for ad free and they show 1 to 2 of their own ads before every show or movie. If no ads equals 1 or 2 how many ads is ad-lite?

If memory serves, 60 minute show have approximately half as many ads as cable (spread out over the same number of ad breaks), and 30 minute shows only have an ad or two at the beginning.
Personally, I hate these ad-supported plans. The deal-hunter part of me loves saving a few bucks, but then reality sets in and I just won't watch anything because I hate the darn ads. I'm nine months into a year of ad-lite for $29.99, and I bet I've watched maybe 10 episodes.
Update: I've received three emails from Discovery+ about this offer even though, as I said, I am currently subscribed. Good grief.
From past experience, I find myself absolutely hating the commercials, so I should really only consider ad free options. I also prefer to buy a year at a time, and not mess with monthly.
Earlier this year, I saw $50 a year for prepaying a year of the ad free service, but I don't see this currently.

With add block on there are none lol. But without it's about 1 min of adds on an hour long show it's about 3 add segment. It's all adds of Discovery shows, usually all the same adds over and over
I subscribed for sharkweek only to find out you can't stream the live broadcast... Also didn't see that it still had ads. Each 1 hour show has 3-4 ads that are a few minutes long. What's weird is the audio and video quality of the ads is really bad. It's kind of annoying going from HD audio and video to a distorted laundry detergent ad.
If you sign-up for the Discovery + offer on Swagbucks (as long as you stay on for at least 1 month), you'll get equivalent of $20 back - 2000 SB for signing up.

Right now, all I see is the ability to buy a year of the ad free for $83.75:

Which really isn't any discount for prepaying for a year.
Does anybody know of a way to get a 5% or 10% discount on prepaying for a year? Thanks so much!
