I've been buying these for years. I consider them accent lighting, which is fine for my needs. The do generally last two years, maybe three, and that's after swapping out the solar batteries with freshly charged ones. That is, if the screws don't rust & the wires don't fall off. Plus, once they're toast, I remove the stake, then silicone glue them to my neighbors uncapped fence posts (with their permission), which keeps the yellowjackets from taking up residence in them. They do occasionally end up shattering after a while, so I take them out & replace with newer dead ones. sadly, n/a for me. I would only get the steel ones, not the plastic, fwiw

NEVER buy ANYTHING solar unless its battery is lithium-ion or equivalent. NiCad (should be outlawed are so worthless) and NiMh (still not good) batteries on solar makes them lose any usability after about 3-6months, which makes entire product useless.

Seems like a great deal, stainless steel and glass and almost $1 each, repped.
Got mine today. Not even a single part is made of steel, except maybe electric contacts. All plastic, as cheap as it can only get and that will start breaking after a few months under the southern sun.

Also the glass bulb is thick and heavy, I am debating if I want to install these along the concrete driveway, especially on such a flimsy plastic stand. One careless hit and this will became a handful of shards.

Yeah, mine also came today and was made of plastic, it seems like they sell two versions of this on the site, one made of plastic, the other 'stainless steel'. I'm going to see how they look after a charge and determine what I'll end up doing. I'm guessing whatever 'stainless steel' they used would've rusted over time anyways.

Yeah... plastic. But the glass seems to actually be glass and is hard and heavy. Contemplating contacting Walmart about the wrong description/false advertising...
