Reviews say these are cherry viola switches, whatever those are
"The Viola switch will offer keyboard vendors a cheaper option over the more gaming oriented Cherry MX line, which includes the popular switches such as the MX Red, Blue, Brown, and Speed SIlver. While some MX switches have as many as seven parts, the Viola only has four and uses materials that are less expensive, a Cherry rep told me."

Would this be a good keyboard for typing at work 8 hours a day? Or is there a better keyboard? I've tried a few Logi's and they're always disappointing to me.
Depends on your typing style. If you are more of a touch typist, these should give your fingers more flexibility. However, certain MX switch types will greatly vary on the typing performance and comfort.

Reading the reviews, it seems like there's a common faulty issue with double spacing and double characters within a month or two. Any thoughts? I've only ever tried out one Steelseries keyboard that malfunctioned about a year into use.

In my experience, Corsair keyboards are extremely unreliable compared to the others I used before them. I've replaced about six switches and something like 20 keycaps. I'm also on my fourth or so keyboard.

I buy them only because I can't find a better offering on TKL Cherry Reds with media keys. But I hate corsair, and their customer service is as bad as their keyboards.

Well that's a shame. Appreciate the 2 cents, I was pretty close to biting the bullet on this

Is this a good choice for someone dealing with injuries, looking for better comfort? I have a AUKEY mechanical keyboard with Blue switches.

Terrible switches for typing and programming, but works great for gaming. Killer price too
Bought this one prime day, and returned it because I couldn't even rest my fingers on the home keys. They're super sensitive but they're fun to use.

I love silver switches. Takes a little getting used to but I have no additional typing errors after using for awhile. I like typing.io for practice. I code and write and have gamed - I like the silver switches for everything.

The Cherry MX Viola switches are not used in this K60 Pro Low Profile keyboard.

This particular keyboard on sale uses Cherry MX Low Profile RGB Speed Silver switches.

OP should note in the title that these are speed switches. Personally I can't stand speed switches, even after getting used to them it's easy to hit a key simply by resting your hand on the keys a bit too hard. Switch type largely comes down to personal preference though.

The EVGA with speed silvers (that's almost always on sale) for $35 seems like a much better deal, it's hot swappable and has media keys + volume roller. Then if you want to replace the switches or break a switch it's simple to replace.

would recommend the evga thats been on sale recently. im not crazy about the silver switches. the actuation point is a little too short for my typing style but i am getting used to it quick. the main thing about that keyboard is the keys are hotswappable. i sort of doubt these are being low pro.
I personally love silvers.

I own this keyboard and the K70 LP silver... strongly prefer the silvers.

The reason I wouldn't go for the EVGA silver, is because I've now adjusted to using Low-Profile mechanical keyboards and standard size is just less enjoyable.

They also say Low Profile Silvers will result is less accidental clicks due to silver's low actuation distance. So, for silvers its probably best to stick to LP.

I'm as happy with this deal as i ever have been on any keyboard at all. I bought two and then ended up getting another for down the road. Silver switches are actually pretty decent to type on. i havent got used to them the same way as my TKL linear ones that i love the most but its pretty close. I think they just have a shorter travel distance than most.

Build quality is excellent. this is a no brainer.
