No dongle. Just Bluetooth. Also, I stopped using mine because it's too flat. Got tiring after awhile.

Got 2 of these when Best Buy had them at $10. That was a steal for the quality of mouse. This is still a good deal and would buy if I needed one.

I see it can work without dongle.

Got it for $10 and only use it with my laptop when I am out of my office. It is not a perfect mouse but perfect for its portability.

Im with you - the ergonomics of this mouse are flat out terrible. OTOH, it's very compact and lightweight so it's useful (to me) to have in my backpack for travel.

I am a HUGE proponent of Logitech products that can link to the the logitech unifying dongles. I have multiple keyboards and mice connected to my mini dongle that stays on the side of my surface. ​Really wish they would start making that 10 Key again.

Wish it had the 2 side back and forward buttons. I've been looking for a slim mouse like this for a reasonable price with the side buttons.

But i might give it a try to see if i can get use to the middle click as a back button.

Wasn't it even cheaper with the pink colored one at that time? I think it was 2 for $5 for the pink. Heck of a deal regardless. Got 2 and gave them away as gifts.

Yes. You can plug in pretty much any Windows compatible USB device to the Surface.

As others have noted, these were $10 after instant rebate at both BestBuy and Amazon in Feb/Mar 2021.

They are still a decent deal at this price, but not a barn burner.
