Just saw the HP TG01-2003w desktop at my local Walmart has been reduced for clearance to $479.25, regular $639. I noticed it has been lower as a refurb. It has a Ryzen 5 5600G processor, a RX 5500 graphics card (no XT), 8 gigs of single channel RAM and a 256 gig ssd. I already have one of these and have been very happy with it as my main gaming rig at 1080p. Brickseek: https://brickseek.com/walmart-inv...=811088984

PS5/XSX is a way better deal, and at this point the XSX isn't terribly hard to find. You'll get at least another 5 years of solid support for both of those consoles. I could see this PC needing a serious upgrade to play AAA games in like 2 years.

It seems odd to me that they chose the 5600g (which only has PCIe 3.0) for this system vs the 5600 or 5600x (which both offer PCIe 4.0), when including a discrete GPU. The difference shouldn't be noticeable with this card but could possibly be with a future upgrade (if easily possible).

Yeah, looks like they're clearancing out old stock. Dropped by walmart last week and there were 3-4 HP branded prebuilts including an all in one with a celeron and a 1tb physical hard drive for somewhere around $250. None had specs worth mentioning, especially for the price. Maybe if the prices go down further they'd be a decent grab but the ones I saw were between 20-40% off.

Thanks op! Thumbs up and repped. I picked one up about three weeks ago at my local Walmart for $485 but after widening the brickseek search (after the fact) it looks like a store an hour or so away had it for $250… 😳 Showing oos now but does anybody have a receipt they could post showing that purchase price? I'm still within the price adjustment period.

They match only in store price only and if it's in stock. They won't use a 3rd party, Brickseek, price listing for price matching. I've seen Brickseek listed prices continue to go down even though the product at that store has been out of stock for a while and Brickseek was listing the item being out of stock during that period.

I found a store by me at $350 but they didn't actually seem to have any. Another store is a bit of a drive but just dropped to $399, hoping thats a better sign they actually have some in stock.

so today was also tax free day in my state. the prices at the stores all kept going to $399, one of them had 5-6 and someone sniped all of those. I went to one that had 4-5 and none were on the floor, I asked the guy at electronics, he confirmed not on the floor and said he thought he knew where he could find them, was able to get me 2 from the back (assuming another employee was stashing them)

What size PSU does this have? Just wondering if the GPU can be swapped out for something a little better.

I think 400W. You can find people who upgraded the PSU though. This is also pcie 3 do probably not worth putting in the latest and greatest cards as it can't take full advantage
