Per terms and conditions and customer service reps, If you do not activate within 60 days you will be charged the full price of the device.

However, some reported there is no charge after 60 days

Once you unlock this hotspot from ebay codes (Thx nimpravi):
connect to device's wifi, go to HTTP://mobile.hotspot and then from that dashboard:

network settings -> APN -> Add a new APN suitable for your network (you can get APN settings from Google). Once you save the APN settings, make it default APN. Now, the service will disconnect and you need to click on 'Home" in the dashboard and there will be option to "Connect" and click on that.

Use a different name, have it shipped to a mail bag type of place and use a privacy.com virtual credit card with same name. Then you don't have to worry about them coming after you. In most cases just using a privacy.com card SHOULD be sufficient. That being said I cancelled my two orders (which I did without a privacy.com card in traditional slickdeal fashion of Buy now, think later)

Everyone should thumb down the deal before it hits frontpage and causes alot of people issues. Anyone can open a wiki on this deal and add the warning.

That is what we all thought until someone read the TOS saying that activation was required within 60 days or you would be charged the full price of the device.

All depends on the camera, codec being used, whether you're only uploading motion detection or constantly streaming, what resolution you're using, etc. I believe that if you're uploading at 1080p using H.264 codec, you can figure about 2Mbps if constantly recording. 2Mbps x 60 seconds x 60 minutes x 24 hours / 8 bits per byte = 21,600 MB (about 20 GB) per day per camera. That equals over 600GB per camera per 30 days, so no, 5GB is not enough for even a few hours per (constantly uploading) camera, forget a month.

I just called Boost , their customer service barely spoke English
got transferred to the cancelation department
the woman named Amanda told me that this is the price and the device is prepaid and I will not be charged if I don't use the device
If I want to use the device then I can buy a plan from their website.

I hope this helps

99c each? Why not, worth it for the USB-C cable alone

Looks like the hot spot plans support 5G, but this does not?
