I just called Boost , their customer service barely spoke English
got transferred to the cancelation department
the woman named Amanda told me that this is the price and the device is prepaid and I will not be charged if I don't use the device
If I want to use the device then I can buy a plan from their website.

I hope this helps

The deal with activation is standard, hiding it behind a terms link you only see after submitting address/payment surely is not? That should be in bold right next to the price as I see on Best Buy and such.

No Social Security Number, No D.O.B., no signature… … …

Good luck with that!!!
SSN is not required for your debt to go to collections and you ticked the "accept" button on the terms and conditions during checkout.

Bad deal if they have your contact information and charge you for the difference between retail price and what you paid if you don't activate it. Checking out is a binding contract similar to when you checkout on Ebay. I requested to cancel. Not worth it to me for the chance they will try to bill back the full retail price if I don't activate it.

For those that think using a prepaid card will work....sure it will keep them from charging you again on the same card. Doesn't stop them from sending you to collections and going after you directly like any other cell phone company does if you agree to a subscription and don't follow the terms of the contract for purchasing a reduced price phone.
How do you get sent to collections of they don't have a social security number on you?

It's pretty scummy, but you have to agree to the terms before you can finalize the order.

I never put my Social Security number with any of my medical offices - they certainly don't have a problem sending me to collections if I don't pay one of their bills.

They will probably have difficulty going after you for this.....but to me its not worth it for something that I don't really need.

Name and address are the minimum required to report debt to a collections agency.

Lol they aren't charging me shit beyond the $2 I paid. If they wanted more money, they should have put it at checkout.

1) FYI—Plenty of unlock codes out there.
2) Got this re: cancelling: "I understand that you want to cancel an order you just placed. We have limited tools over social media and are unable to cancel an order. For this you will need to call and speak with our customer care team at: 1-833-502-6678."
3) Another operator said to just request a return label upon receiving it.
Where do you see the unlock codes?

Saw this the other day. Surely locked, but 4400mAh battery pack for 99c shipped.

also included:
5V/2A US Type charger
USB-C Cable
I have one of these and it actually works well for a back up battery. Bit large but it works, not bad for a dollar. It charges via type C but uses type A for the battery backup

I ended up just calling and requesting to cancel. They can't directly cancel - they give you a ticket number and submit the request.
