I don't think this is a slick price for this. But to each their own.
This used to be regular price for this model a year or two ago. If you wait for the fall, lots of Walmarts clearance them. I got mine for $78 2 or 3 years ago.

I got mine for $50 almost a year ago. I had just picked up the travel one and this one came up so now, I have more griddle than I need. Lol.

Nice! And you can never have too many griddles! I have the 36" at home and the 22" for the camper. I've thought about grabbing a 17" just for the heck of it too.

I own 3 different iterations of the BS 22" griddle. I believe this is the best overall edition.
The hood is essential for melting cheese on multiple burgers (or whatever) at once, and this model, at least the 2 year old one that I have, has adjustable rubber feet so you can control grease run-off when using the griddle on a table as I always do camping.
But the stand is bulky and kinda crappy, and this price is high from what I have seen.
What don't people get a grill instead of a griddle?
They are different tools. A griddle is much better cooking loose things like rice/stir fry, scrambled eggs, cut vegetables, etc.
For meat, the griddle collects grease rather than flaring up which means less smoke in your face.
I'd bet most folks who have a griddle already had a grill. Gotta have options.

Melt the cheese first, then put it on the burger.
