One cent away from free shipping. Best Buy really screwed long time My Best Buy members. I should be getting free shipping for this since I had supposedly earned a year of Elite Plus membership, but apparently I only earned a few months…

The second one had a limited print when it released 5 years ago, so it's no longer at retail.

Is it possible to run through the game while skipping most side quests? I tried playing through the 3ds version many years ago and it felt overwhelming yet claustrophobic at the same time that i stopped about 15% through

Just from what I heard there's a lot of grinding to this and other xenoblade series. I tried to enjoy x but there's just too much level grinding

Technically the side quests do more for you than just grinding monster battles, and there is a mode that's in this version that makes it easier to play through for story purposes. Still a 50-80 hour game regardless, and the time spent helps flesh out the characters/world. If you just don't want to put in that kind of time, there are plenty of playthroughs/story videos on YouTube (but I suggest everyone play one of the best-ever JRPGs).

I'm having a hard time wanting to pick this game back up. I'm at the point where I saved a kid in the mines and added a new party member. Does the story get better from here? I spent so much time doing named NPC sidequests and haven't experienced any additional story. Is it still too early to judge the game?

Yeah, there's like 90% of the story still left 😂

Thanks, I didn't realize I was still so early. I think I spent too much time doing pointless sidequests. Maybe I'll just power through the story and skip the sidequests. Hoping the combat gets better as well. Loved Xenoblade 2, hated Torna and couldn't finish (definitely in the minority here).

Yeah, Side quests take a lot of your time and patience, wasn't recommended unless you really wanted to finish the game 100%

Well... Until Definitive Edition was released, the Switch Edition tells you exactly where to find everything for any Side Quest, not like the old ones. Is so much easier and even fun now with the extra help.

But still you don't need them to enjoy the amazing game, and yes is too early to judge the Game, you're only getting ready for a roller coaster of emotions. I would say reaching level 50, you start to understand what the game is about.

I recommend trying to use different characters, not only Shulk, is really interesting using others attacks, if you don't understand something, you can find everything on google.

Soo Good Luck, change the music to the original Game! And enjoy the trip!
