I actually despise Walker Edison. Their "Wood" is the lowest form of Walmart grade particle board (As opposed to Ikea's manufactured wood/particle board which is a lot better quality). They like to say it's "Warp proof" sometimes but it's not. But materials aside, Walker Edison products never have the consumer in mind when they decide how many pieces to create when the product is unassembled and shipped in a box, dowel holes are always the wrong size and they put too much burden on the assembler getting every single thing perfectly aligned in intermediate steps without a way to check if you did it right before the final product is complete and you may have misaligned drawers,etc. Other companies that require assembly have better thought out fool proof assembly.

Read the first Best Buy review here from a week ago for this product and you'll see people having the same complaints with this TV stand:

I have to echo others' comments. Walker makes really good furniture given the price point. I have a similar entertainment center, but instead of 4 cubbies, mine has 6. It's been great - it looks classy, doesn't feel cheap, and can hold my heavy as heck OLED TV without any worry.

Highly recommend for anyone looking to spruce up a room.

I bought the 70" version a couple weeks ago to accommodate a new 65" TV we also bought from a SD. Paid $210. Assembly was fairly easy (took me about an hour by myself) and the TV stand looks great. Pretty happy with it overall, so this is a nice deal on the smaller one.

Yes. There are three heights using those little peg things, so you can adjust each one in three different ways. Again, mine was the 70" model with 3 cubbies, but I'm 99% certain that the 2 cubby model would be the same way.

Cheap furniture from Amazon is almost never worth it. Ikea is the best manufacturer of cheap furniture IMO.

Sorry you had such a bad experience with them, but it seems like you are an outlier and not the norm. Even the Best Buy review page you linked to has 4.5 stars with 504 reviews. The most recent one, which I assume you are citing, definitely brings up some concerns, but it also sounds like quite a bit of "user error". For example, they are complaining about two extra pieces of wood. I got those as well, and somewhere (I forget where but remember reading it) clearly says that those are for package protection and not actually part of the build. That should be pretty obvious since they are on the outer sides of the box and a completely different color. If anything, it shows that they spent extra time/money to ensure the product isn't damaged in transit.

As far as holes not lining up or being drilled properly, my experience on the larger 70" model was anything but. All of the holes were perfectly aligned, and it was a piece of cake to get the screws/etc. installed in them. Granted I took my time and read the instructions. I ran into one hurdle towards the end where it looked like there was an alignment problem, but then realized I had the piece backwards, which sounds similar to the reviewer's issue, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had a similar issue and didn't realize their mistake.

Point being, with any built-it-yourself piece of furniture, there are going to occasionally be issues. But it sounds like those are rare and most people, including myself, are very happy with this product. Is it high end solid natural wood? No, of course not for that price point. But it looks to be decent quality and I'm happy with my purchase that was ~3x what this deal is for, albeit for the larger unit in a different color.

All in all it went together pretty easily, but getting the top piece to fit right was a little tricky. Looks good and will serve the purpose of clutter-catching. Not my favorite piece of furniture, but can't complain for the price.

I doubt it. You'd spend too much getting doors made. You'd be better off buying a different model that comes with doors.
