Other than OG SF, the collection of games on this is good. That said, if you're interested in this, get a tape measure, extend it 19", then have a friend stand next to you and pretend to play. Keep in mind that 19" is the total width and the P1 joystick and P2 buttons are each about 1.5" to 2" from the edge, so the actual control deck is more like 16" for two people. It's not that you can't do it...it's if you want to do it. Original units were around 27-30" wide if memory serves.

I own the MK I, II, III Ultimate version and it's great. Arcade Up creates these mini versions to save space. $250 (cabinet) + $100 (riser) is not bad at all considering what it is. I vaguely remembered my rich friends in HS got a SF II Championship Edition at their house. It may have been 3k. In the 90's that was a lot of cash bro. I'm in finance and my poor parents would not have entertained that idea. I would have gotten a beating just for wishing.

But I digress. You could always use/repurpose the cabinet, swap out with a PI and run your emulation platform.

I've got the cab with the "Champion Edition" artwork and love it. My plan was to wait for it to break and then Raspberry Pi it. Put a ton of hours on it, and I was a terror in the arcades from SF2-SF2:Turbo..I love this! However, nothing has broken, expect for the artwork/paint where my wrists rest has come off. I sent for a plastic shield, but never heard back. Once something breaks, I will still likely mod it.

FWIW, I'm 6'2" and with the riser, it comfortable enough. I think it's the perfect size, as I don't have a ton of room, and this fits perfectly. 2 player is a little tight, but not a problem. I think they got the size just right.

The sticks a are little too springy, so I bought some tighter springs and bat tops. Haven't gotten around to installing the springs, but it looks easy enough. The bat tops just screw off and give it a more authentic feel.

I am almost curious to sell this and get the Blue... Haven't had a good challenge in quite a while! :Big Grin

If you want a challenge, you should play Darksydephil. He was the top EVO US player in Turbo back in 2005. He plays online every Friday.

Good to know! I'm lucky enough to live close-ish enough to the Galloping Ghost arcade in Chicago. I was playing against the cpu and a coupla guys walked by. Since it looked like I knew what I was doing they joined in and I pounded them. (Politely) they whispered and ran off and bring a friend. He picked Bison and beat me very consistently. Not every round and I wasn't completely dominated, but I couldn't get a 2/3 on him. Lol. I know I'm rusty. And, again, I peaked before Super. So, I know my place.

As someone who played a lot of Street Fighter growing up (quarters on the arcade cabinet waiting to play random strangers), I am more inclined to buy something with different versions of SF vs some random games I probably don't care about.
Most of these variants play sufficiently different with regards to characters, balance, and what kinds of special moves are possible that it warrants having the different versions. For example, Turbo and New Challengers doesn't play similarly to World Warrior at all.
