How this Ram to upgrade my Legion 5 Pro? Is this comparable to Crucial RAMs?

Anyone have a measure on the actual real-world performance difference between CAS22 and CAS16 for a laptop that supports it? My laptop has 8GB of 22, but states it supports XMP, so I should be able to handle the faster timings. No clue if RAM speed is much of a bottleneck nowadays or not, though.

IMO, Pretty good deal it supports 3200 @ 1.2V. Seems like it works well in the popular Dell G15 laptop.

8GB on windows can be quite limiting these days. Especially if you leave browser tabs open.

That being said 32 GB is overkill for most people. You need to be doing some pretty serious computing to get above 16GB. That's the sweet spot these days.

I have a desktop mini running a bunch of VMs and containers….basically all my home services. Upgrading from 16 to 32 would allow me to fill out the lab even more.

Part of me is just feeling upgrade once and done; it's a relatively new system I was ok with 8 since I felt I got a decent price on it. Could do another 8 today in the other slot, but it makes me wonder if I'm going to wind up getting a 16 stick at some point in the future since I tend to keep my tech for a pretty long time.

I do a decent amount of solid modeling, and that can be a real RAM hog if it wants to be a butt or I'm fighting the software to make designs it's not really built for.

That makes a lot of sense. DDR4 is probably near the bottom when it comes to $/GB and prices will eventually start going up again. Plus you'll spend more buying twice vs. once.

I've been stubborn waiting for a 64GB kit but typically the largest sticks usually never drop as much as the smaller ones. 32GB is probably just fine.

Can anyone who has this comment if it's Dual Rank or Single Rank (I'm not asking about Dual or Single Channel).

I have a GE75 Raider SE from Costco (2020) that I think has 16GB (8G*2) DDR4 2666MHz. Should this work in it?

Use extra RAM as a RAM disk to reduce wear and tear on your SSD.

Not sure about this set, but I did find a good dual rank set that performs the same as Crucial in my L5P.
