This is a scathing review of Shop Titans.

I have this game and Verdun on the PS4 and I really enjoy it. While the graphics aren't Call of Duty or Battlefield 1 quality, they have a neat style and it adds to the game. The multiplayer is a lot of fun and make sure to choose cross platform in the settings, so you can play with more players. Verdun is also good and worth getting if you like this game.

That's unfortunate since the game does look interesting. I'm fine with a game charging for cosmetics or items that can still be attainable as a free player. But nothing despises me more in gaming than gameplay "energy".

I gotta say it... is it 2003 again? My MOH game from like 2002 looked better than this. this is inexcusable.
I was thinking the same thing. Tannenberg looks like it was made with "high-res" textures running on a Quake III engine, or whatever that engine was called. Compare this to Far Cry (PC) or Half Life 2. Those games were state of the art in 2004, but that's your point.

I don't think you had a medal of Honor game from 2002 that looked better than this, but Pacific Assault from 2004 probably did. Unless you're counting art direction. In which case I agree, because nothing I'm seeing looks interesting, art-wise.

I'm not throwing shade on the developers. I'm just surprised it looks like that.

It's a Unity game made by a studio of 20 some people. It's not trying to sell itself on cutting edge graphics. It's a fantastic series of games that keeps getting better and fills a great niche of squad tactics and unique features.

Be sure to try it around christmas for the armistice soccer fun.

That's cool. I've always wanted more WWI games, so I can't wait to play it. I'm really hoping the new tools in Unreal Engine 5 make it easier to make nice-looking games on the cheap.
