Based on previous experience these usually arrive much earlier than stated, when sold by Amazon. Seems like they just put the worst case scenario, and it ends up to only taking a week or two.
Obviously card prices are falling, but this still might prove to be a pretty good deal, at least in the short term. I read an article stating that they're phasing out the 12gb to help differentiate between the 10gb 3080 and the 3080 ti.

Long delivery can be a plus. Bought it while I wait for some benchmark for the 4000 series. If it is only 20% difference than the wait is not worth it.

That's fair. I see Newegg has price matched and ships immediately.
It's really late in the game to justify the costs of these high end GPUs. Two years ago, with no 4k series in sight.. sure. But we know Nvidia will be releasing their new cards within 6 months. If you waited this long..
How bad is the coil whine on this card? I recently purchased the Asus 3080 TUF 12GB for $749.99. The TUF is shorter and has no coil whine but it is power limited compared to the Strix and has 2-8pin connecters vs the 3 on the Strix. Trying to determine if it is worth getting vs the $749 Tuff.

my guess is 4060TI will be at level of 3080. and i don't think 4060TI will be priced at 800 USD.
