Err at $20 bucks I'm not sure what you were expecting.

He wants them to have an "N" on the side like all the other dads' shoes.

I've found Avia generally had a harder "foam" sole, which has been great for bike riding as my pedals tend to shred the softer-type soles

Bought a pair last week. We'll see if they hold up reasonably well, but they are ultra-comfortable and supportive for my 55-year-old,worn out, retired correctional officer feet.
