I've found Avia generally had a harder "foam" sole, which has been great for bike riding as my pedals tend to shred the softer-type soles

Bought a pair last week. We'll see if they hold up reasonably well, but they are ultra-comfortable and supportive for my 55-year-old,worn out, retired correctional officer feet.

The thing with these shoes, look at the flap up design at the front. In about 2-3 weeks, this flap will unglue.
