If you're purely battery powered, you have to charge it periodically, they estimate a month, but it depends on how sensitive you set the triggers and how much activity it typically sees

Additionally, Google has made sure Nest has 0 security issues going forward as they slowly migrate the old Nest and new products.
I think by the end of 2022 they will have a lot done.
Unlike Amazon's Ring, Wyze, and even a few Eufy issues, where security has been an issue and your data sold for years.
Nest has the best legal transparency and, settings, and track record.
