Pixel 6 owner here. I word of warning.
the reviews stating the slow finger print reader is concerning.
If i can go back in time, I would not buy the pixel 6 because the fingerprint reader is embarrassingly slow and misreads if you change lighting conditions. It's simply awful and makes checking the phone a chore. I hate it. No screen protector issue, not my phone (it was exchanged), and it's a common complaint. If you are coming from a phone that had even an average sensor, this will annoy you to no end.

The Google Tensor chips have such unreliable and poor mobile connections that a significant number of users have to reboot regularly or toggle airplane mode on/off just to get data working. It always happens when i drive. Check reddits pixel subs for more info. It doesn't look like any of those issues will be fixed because they simply aren't fixed in the flagships.
It seems to be an issue when you transition towers, so if you travel a lot or travel through dead zones, it'll happen more frequently. An unacceptable problem most in-studio reviews don't address, but real-world users struggle with, and have been since launch.

warning: This kind of trade in deal came around 1.5 yrs ago for 4a 5g. The say they will respect trade in value if old phone is received within a month of you receiving the new phone. But then they delayed the return pkg . And instead of giving $285 trade in value they gave $15. Everyone had to fight with customer care to get back the money. And they have terrible customer care.

Several reviews of the final product are indicating it's pretty similar to the 6 and 6 Pro. Some early stories and very early (unofficial) hands on videos said it was a faster sensor, but many of the reviews coming out today of the production model ay it's similar in speed. Maybe a hair faster here and there, but not so much as to make a noticeable difference in day-to-day use.

some questions (thanks in advance for responses)

- can I send in trade in with screen protector ?

- I unchecked the box which said 'auto-accept different offer if phone is in different condition'. In that case, if I return 6a will I get a full refund?

- I signed up for the google one 2 TB plan to get the store credit; when can I cancel without losing store credit?

The 10% is credit on your next purchase, not a discount on the current order.

So if you buy this phone you would get $45 credit for your second purchase.
Credit is not immediate, might be upon shipping...? Might not have some trade in values at that point

I haven't seen any free phones, aside for the generic ones, from T-Mobile. What makes you think this will be free from them?
Because the pixel 6 was (with 24 bill credits) and it is more valuable

Yeah the pixel 3 vs 3a is odd. Was going to get my mom an upgrade til I saw that. Upgrading my 4a 5g. I got it for 350 so getting 300 for it was good with me. Did not see pixel buds in my order when I checked out and completed my order. Did anyone else?
I am in the same boat. Pixel 4a 5G heats like crazy. Seems like a total price of $50 (after 100$ Buds for free) makes a lot of sense. The website asks to add the buds a series for 0$ on the page after you add the phone to your cart.

Wow. Fresh and inspiring take. I'm typing this out on a pixel 3 that's only remote issue has been occasionally having issues with Bluetooth that requires a reboot. It's been good for me.

FYI - I was quoted $295 trade-in credit for my pixel 3a with cracked screen at Google 🙂 and got the free pixel buds. feels like a heck of a deal to me!

edit- I purchased unlocked without a Google Fi plan
Only $85 offered for my P3 trade-in in mint condition. Go figure. I was getting excited.

Just buy the unlocked or buy it straight from TMo.

Excuse me for being dense, but what form of credit is the Trade-In credit? If I pay for the full balance using Paypal will I get a credit back to Paypal or a gift card or something? If it is only a credit back to the Google store for a future purchase I would be disappointed.

Pixel 6 owner here, coming from Pixel 3 XL with the fingerprint sensor on the back, the front screen sensor took some used to and yes it doesn't perform as well, but it's NOT THAT BAD. After the initial adjustment (mainly from using the index finger to now using the thumb), I have no issues with it. It doesn't even cross my mind when I use the phone. That's my experience at least, take it for what's it's worth.

Thanks. I like Google photos. As good as this deal is, it kinda defeats the purpose if I have to pay $240/year when I get it for free right now on my current phone.
Whoa, $240? Do I take that to mean you'd need the 5tb Google one plan? Do you actually take 5tb of photos/videos at storage saver quality? If so, that's damn impressive.

Ouch. Why are phones getting worse over time?
