I'd probably be all over this but thinking that the lack of any hotspot is a dealkiller....

Not overthinking at all. It's a dealkiller for me for sure. When my internet goes out at home, I need a backup for WFH. My income depends on it laugh out loud

7. Does this plan come with mobile hotspot?
No, this plan does not come with mobile hotspot capability.
Probably not a deal breaker for some, but it is for me. Most plans everywhere else give at least 5 gigs of hotspot, or even count hotspot data against your monthly limit. The one time you need it and it's not available, won't be fun.

Hi JasonI26,

Boost Mobile utilizes our new expanded network.

- Boost Moblie
.
The reason many people are asking you which network Boost uses, is because of tower locations.... there is a huge difference between 1 or no bar connectivity and a full 5 bars.

Tell me if I am wrong, but Dish Network does not have their cloud native 5G network up and running and when they do, that will still leave about 30% without direct access. Since Boost is owned by Dish Network, I have to presume that Boost is using AT&T's network from last year's contractual agreement [dish.com] with Dish Network after the feud between Dish and T-Mobile prematurely ended the seven year contract that was in all the news that made it to Congress.

So, I believe the correct answer is that at the moment, Boost is using the AT&T network and if you have an AT&T cell tower close by, you should get great reception.

Which network do you use?
Currently, Boost is using ATnoT Network. But Dash will bulid its own network in the future.

So, what is INCLUDED in the "new expanded network"?
.
AT&T over prior T-Mobile is the "new expanded network" that began last year... and what is included with any package offer appears to be spelled out on their website that is 'subject to change' ... otherwise bait. Personally, I would prefer to lock in a year or longer contract with or without purchasing a phone I don't need.

In a year or three, Boost that is owned by Dish Network, will have access to Dish Networks new cloud native 5G network, but without another contractual fallout as with T-Mobile, will still be using AT&T's network with perhaps reciprocity.

There are always better deals as bait with the MVNO's that buy wholesale and resell, but in my experience, they have all been short lived and a PIA to keep changing providers for the next best deal. Once Dish Network brings their 5G network online, they will become a primary MVO to join the ranks of AT&T they are now partnered with, T-Mobile, and Verizon to then sell 'space' that increasingly monopolized, will decrease the intermittent deals the MVNO's like Mint and others (including prior Boost) were passing out.

Why should I choose this over the $25/month Visible plan which is also unlimited, but unlike Boost, includes all taxes and fees AND has mobile hotspot AND uses Verizon's network?

Maybe because you have a gsm phone which doesn't have all the bands to be on VERIZON or where the coverage in your area sucks.

Pleeeease dont buy boost mobile!
I bought a sim card from their website
and after 2 weeks of trying to port my number they weren't able to do it. They said the card they sent wasn't valid but they wouldn't reimburse me. I was told to go to the boost store and buy a new one. Someone should bring a lawsuit against them because I've read the reviews and this is very common.

would recommend staying away from boost. too much deprioritization and/or deadzones. I had no data at a mcdonalds parking lot in downtown of my city.

As I read it [visible.com], $25 is for the first month and jumps to $40 unless you join 'party pay [visible.com].' And if you join an anonymous party, who gets to view who's call and text records? It is a Verizon deal, so I will have to talk to my rep.

I thought you might be shilling... lol .... but thanks.

Right at the top of the page it says "Visible by Verizon."

My/our phones are imperative and will need to thoroughly check it out that starts with a non-commissioned supervisor at Verizon. If I had to deal with marketing, it is kind of like dealing with Comcast (that is on my to do list)... where I have to work my way up to dealing with the anticipated BS.
Be advised though

Visible is cheap because you don't get all of bells and whistles.

For example there's no roaming support... If you don't live in a large community, you my not get service on visible.

I love in a majority city and have only traveled to other major cities. I don't know how rural areas work
