Did you ever got through with the purchasing of the Boost plan? I finally was able to purchase it when they allow paypal as payment.
I'm actually still trying. I was troubleshooting with u/BoostMobileCS for a couple days - then they ghosted. I'm troubleshooting with @BoostCare on Twitter now, but I don't have very high hopes.

Different people reply to you each time, sometimes asking the same question, sometimes providing contradictory responses.

Boost's support teams are actually worse than Hello Mobile's at this point - it seems. I'm literally trying to give them money and they can't figure out a way for me to give it to them. 😔

You have to have "party pay" to get this to work
The "party" in the reply you got is one of the bigger ones. But, unless something changed, when you sign up for Visible, it asks if you want to join a party during the signup process, and gives you some to choose from so you really don't have to even look. It's not hard, nobody else sees your info, all that matters is the "party" stays above 4 minimum. Since there is no max, best to join a group with 1,000s so you never have to think about it.

Quote from NobleX13 :
I lose signal completely on Visible for at least 30 minutes when driving from Omaha, NE to Kansas City, MO. This happens on both my Pixel 5a and my iPhone.
Been forever since I've been over that way, I live NW of the first place you mentioned, a few hours. Visible loses signal in a couple places I have gone (very rarely go), but only very small areas, so does Verizon prepaid, but most places it works fine. Where it does lose signal in the areas I know of, they are covered by US Cellular, nothing else (no usable att or tmobile, towers miles away).

Quote from sm1907 :
Not sure why the prices are so high in USA. Recently visited India and we get 2GB per day, for 28 days, under $5
In addition to income asked about in the reply, how about population density? US has a massive area to cover. And many towers are placed in the middle of nowhere (like where I am), serving literal small dozens of households or less. It costs $ to maintain with little return. Cheaper to have more towers/capacity in a smaller area closer to infrastructure. That, plus greed....

That's disappointing.

They were told by the National advertising division to stop advertising unlimited data. They don't have truly unlimited data. It either goes to 2g or stops completely I believe.

This android app can help you tether without flagging as hotspot traffic. https://github.com/Mygod/VPNHotspot
Woh, thanks. I've been looking for something like this. I have a rooted phone. Wondering if you've used this?

Edit: do you know if it also changes the "TTL" so data looks like it's on-phone vs. from a hotspot client?

The website stated Mobile Hotspot is included. Is this correct?

Data Plans: Data access ends after allotted data usage. All Plans: Includes 50 domestic voice roaming minutes (sel. devices). Int'l. svcs. extra. Not all plans can be combined with other offers. Mobile Hotspot, VPN & P2P Limits:Plans include Mobile Hotspot, usage draws from high-speed data allotment, except 12GB on $50 plan and ends after usage. See boostmobile.com/networkmanagement for details.

$80 plus taxes and fees, actually.
how much is tax and fees? usually their fee is only for 911 and tax is only the salestax for these prepaid services. other postpaid charged arms and legs on taxes and fees, like at least 25% of the total.

My understanding is it intentionally makes it look like on phone traffic so probably.

Boost was as on Sprint - T-Mobile, now on AT&T since Jan 1 2022...
One important detail is that Boost is owner by Dish and it uses both T Mobile and AT&T network
