9. What are the activation requirements for compatible GSM phones?
For iPhone:
You will need to do 2 things to make sure you can receive data on your iPhone
- Update your IOS to 15.2 (most recent IOS update)
- Update your carrier settings to 49.1
If you can not update your IOS settings, you will not be able to access your data once
you activate your SIM card and your phone.

10. How does express activation work?
Express activation allows you to use your SIM account and service as soon as it arrives. Just
insert your SIM card into your device and the service should be ready to go. Activation begins 2-
3 days after shipment.

Porting in your existing number or having a new number assigned to you from Boost Mobile.

Edit: and yes the customer service at boost mobile is clueless about their own problems at times. Company was great a while back, now it seems they can't even keep their own reps informed about updates and ongoing issues. If getting service when you need it is a priority.. stay away in NY especially in the city.
if you didn't know, boost mobile plans are on a priority referred to as QCI 9 on the at&t network, if you know how much at&t values their prepaid customer, you'll know what kind of service you'll get. I'm not saying everyone's experience will be this bad, but I was not happy.
