Would these completely suck dry the water out of wet carpeting? And do they blow out dust when using them? What kind of filtering if they do.

Heads up that last I checked, Shop Vac was out of business and not honoring their warranty. I honestly don't know why they still sell these; maybe just clearing out old inventory.

I've never tried to use a wet dry vac to suck water out of carpeting, but I can attest to the fact that the Bissel ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet Pro Carpet Cleaner does an excellent job of this. I'm sure that other carpet cleaners to a good job too. They have two modes 1) putting down the shampoo and scrubbing 2) sucking it back up.

I can't vouch for this vac for wet carpet but HIGHLY recommend Damp Rid to help remove the dampness. The buckets are not fast-acting but they sure do suck moisture out of rooms. I used them along with a shop vac after an area drain backed up. Consult the package to figure out how much / many you need.
