Got the snake with 6 squeakers from this brand 2 weeks ago, and the German Shepard loves it. Is the alligator as durable as the snake?
My dog has the snake, too! Yes, the alligator is as durable as the snake (at least at my house; my dog is a medium chewer). The snake, the alligator, and the hedgehog are my dog's go-to toys these days.
My dog's a fairly polite chewer, not an intense chewer, and the alligator has held up well for several months now (minus the felt claws). I guess this toy's durability is highly individualized by dog!
+1 for didn't last with my dog (minutes), but he's a heavy chewer that enjoys picking all the fuzz and stuffing out of toys. This was actually a bit annoying bc there was plastic fur everywhere when he was done. Our longest lasting toy thus far is the Kong crocodile. Even after all the stuffing and squeaker we're ripped out, it still held up pretty well.
Same I've gone through two of them with my Husky. Was his favorite toy as a pup but when he gets fussy and in one of his moods, he went to town on it. Surprisingly his Bark Box toys hold up well, but he has so many of them that he chooses from depending on his mood.
The only thing we let my GSD chew on is elk antler. It's quite pricey though.
We liked the antlers for a while but my dog cracked a molar on one which is a risk of tough chewers, so no more hard chews like antlers or bones for her

I'm looking at the alligator now, and it's in excellent shape except my dog tore off its yellow felt claws. The rest of the toy is intact.
