I went ahead and bought 9 of the 3-month codes for around $6 each (listed at $5-ish each plus service fee, plus I paid a few cents more than the absolute lowest available price to go with a high volume/highly rated seller).
Make sure that when you're redeeming the very last code at Microsoft that you turn off the free-month offer button, since that would push you over the 36-month mark.
After converting to Ultimate for $14.99 (my sub had expired on July 4th and didn't want to start a new one just to save the $14) ... I immediately turned off recurring billing again with no issues.
All in all, I got 36 months for $68.xx bucks, and also used Discover through Paypal which should get me another 5% back. Sliiick!

Reached out and submitted the two seperate tickets, so here's to hoping. If not, it's chargeback time, boys and girls! Still, a phenomenal deal. Should've probably done Eneba, I feel like they run a cleaner operation.
I had Gold until the end of Feb 2023 so I bought 7x 3-month codes from Eneba for $5.17 ea. Cheaper and more reliable than CDKeys, and you can purchase them all at the same time. This gave me a total of 28 months of gold after disabling recurring billing after each code.
This brought my gold sub to the end of June 2025 with what I already had left. The $ 1-month game pass ultimate brought me to July 23rd, 2025 for a perfect 36 months of GPU. Well, technically I lost two days on the conversion.
Total cost was $38.67 + $1.
This would be $1.10/mo for GPU if you don't count the gold I had left on my account. Considering I only really bought 28 months of gold and 1 month added with GPU it brings my actual cost to $1.37/mo.
Now that is a slick deal. Thanks for the guide!

I tried out Cloud Gaming last night on my PC and it worked better than expected! It's still in Beta so I'm excited to see the improvements in the next few years. Stadia was very meh to me as a service/product but it does 4K.
On a side note: At this point i wonder how is game pass even staying afloat 😂
