CLEAR with GE/Precheck would allow you to skip the Precheck line and go through security with all the Precheck perks (no shoe or laptop removal etc). Only useful in airports where even the Precheck line can be long. Like SFO. For $189 I wouldn't do it but for this deal it's more appealing

You can open another Amex blue card for free that has it (I don't have it on Platinum as well but on Blue card)

Global Entry also includes TSA Pre. In my experience the TSA Pre line is always less than 5-10 long so I really couldn't care about skipping them.

Obviously depends on the airport and probably even who's working, but when the Precheck line is closed you can mention you have it and they'll move you forward and you don't have to take off your shoes or open your laptop. At least that's how it was in Newark.

Tried to get student + 2 for $180. They don't allow add more people to student account 😕 had to get United promo for 119 and one family member for 60 to have it covered by Alex platinum

Although I received my $75 Uber voucher, that was only after several calls to Clear support. Apparently they had to generate one manually because they could see on my account that I had the promo.

Also, the voucher expiration was only a few months in the future.

Already renewed for the year sadly. I've definitely used clear a lot over last 2 years. Only occasionally is the time saved drastic (Orlando sometimes and always in Denver). Saved a bit of time in LA each time as well.

I have Delta Gold Business and I have never seen even one good promotion, including this. Unless I regularly spend $100s on wine, leggings, or eye glasses, Amex promotions have so far in the past 2 years been total trash. Dunno how they target ads.
