It's Casein protein, not many people are familiar with it. Not sure if you know anything about it, but it's a slow releasing protein. Usually taken before bed.
yeah casein can get expensive. it's mostly recommended for long periods of rest. I usually take it before bed. I don't feel so hungry in the mornings.

too bad the people on this thread don't know what casein is lol.
Zactly. I'll poop this crap out in 6hrs tops

Good price with solid reviews.. if only I hadn't switched to fairlife from Costco. Albeit more expensive (18 for $24.99) but the flavor and ready to go cold bottle plus 30g protein is way more convenient for my lifestyle

Yep. It's historically been generally accepted that you ideally want to consume a mix of fast-absorbing and slow-absorbing protein post-workout to provide maximum recovery benefit post-workout.

Now, admittedly, this philosophy is closely related to the concept of the "anabolic window" which has been called into question recently. But calling this out as a marketing gimmick akin to 8-minute Abs is off-base.

Adding another side of casein people either forget or aren't aware of, but when making recipes that call for protein, casein will usually work better. Thicker when mixed and handles baking better as well.

Edit: this is a protein blend which contains casein, isolate and concentrate. Since it's a blend you are more than likely getting more concentrate than the other types. I'd definitely pass on this.

To be clear for others - its a protein blend. Its not just casein. Whey Protein Concentrate is listed before Casein - which would suggest there is a higher concentration of why protein concentrate than there is Casein.

Ingredients include maltodextrin -- do some research on its effects on your health. Maybe this is not something you want.

Do you drink alcohol? Do you smoke? Do you eat fast food? Do you eat at dine-in food? Do you eat processed food(most of any cereal for example amongst many others)? Are you around smoking environments whether from hangouts or work related? If yes to any, then maltodextrin is the least of your concern.

Reminds me of people who thinks Diet Coke is making you fatter than actual Coca Cola, almost nobody that I've ever met is in shape when they have that thought process.
