Keep in mind this is 12 Amp model, not the 15.

Outside of Xmas lights...what does everyone else use these for? Have a hard time figuring out how I would even use 8...

My mom uses them to have a couple lamps turn on and off while she's out of town.

I have some under-cabinet puck lights that work great with these kind of plugs.

Feit brand. Terrible reviews. Not comparable.

I've got an EP10 in my hand and the label on the bottom says 15A in the rating and 1800W for the max load. I've used it many times as a power switch for an air fryer/pressure cooker that is always on.

Kasa Plug line for comparison: https://www.kasasmart.com/us/prod...mart-plugs

Supported Load Types:
Heater: ≤1500 W Toaster: ≤850 W
Humidifier: ≤260 W Tower Fan: ≤50 W
Iron: ≤1500 W

Consider buying a combination of plugs instead of 8 of these. The 12 amp mini smart plug ‎ HS103P3 is well made and has frequently been promoted for $6. Mine were easy to set up and use on both G.A. and Alexa simultaneously and have been perfectly reliable for 2 years but I plan to buy a few of the more capable models. The light weight Kasa app is great too with an easy to launch timer which is great for phone chargers.

I keep wanting to buy some of these but then think to myself, "what would I use these for?" Maybe fans and lights...hmmm. Great find OP!

The HS103P3 is the 3 pack of the HS103. The HS103 is currently 15 amps/1800 watts, labelled under HVIN as HS103V5. I got the HS103P4, the 4 pack, in February with this labelling. Amazons reviews have mixed all the different versions together.

I bought an energy monitoring one on Prime Day to monitor power usage from some of my electronics to get an idea of what their standby costs me each month.

Without the energy monitoring function it would still be useful to be able to turn off lights, especially if you're cold/lazy and already in bed, electronics (TVs, Router/Modem, stereo system), adapters left plugged in, cordless tool battery chargers in your garage, or even set semi-random schedules for those things while you're away so your house doesn't look totally abandoned.

You can use it to remotely turn off your garage door opener in case a family member or ex that you don't want in your garage while you're away still has a remote.

I don't find it useful for coffee makers and the like because most of those have programmable start, so turning them off remotely typically clears that memory and resets the clock, so kind of defeats the purpose.

You can use them on a (gas) dryer or washer to make sure they're turned off so they don't burn down or flood your house while you're out, too. Lots of insurance claims for that sort of thing, believe it or not.

Well for my electricity I pay real time rates by the 5 minute increment. I get notification when the price per kwh increases above thresholds or is trending. I want to use these to be able to turn on and off my 2 refrigerators and chest freezer for a number of hours when the rates are high. If the doors aren't being opened they stay quite stable temperature wise for quite some time but if I can drop the power consumption for 4 hours or so when high that'd be great. Perhaps create an IFTT routine or something if I want to get fancy.

I just wish I had a useful way to do the same with things like my 220v hard wired hot tub.

I use these everywhere for lights and other things. Pair it with LED lights. Auto on when it's dark, auto off when light outside. I have night lights like little string lights on plants, lamps, lamp in the kitchen and hallways. It controls an air cleaner that kicks on at night. I have a mini water fountain in the dining room plant area. If you have a cheep box fan, set it on and use these to control it. (I also have a smarter home. Garage door opener, thermostat, wall outlets for garage exterior lights, exterior cameras, water sprinkler system, robo vacuum, ceiling fan... Then I went and built a kiosk (tablet on the wall - with picture screen saver) and use Home Assistant. It's super nice, everything works very reliably.
