Also from different thread - there are some issues with amazon links, when you go to the product page and change size/style/etc Amazon can also change Seller and display different price.

Careful. Shrink-To-Fit is a very different item from Original Fit. Make sure you know what you're getting in to and how to size and shrink and shape them properly. Done right, though, Shrink-To-Fits are my favorites.
Also, it looks like since my post that STFs have shot up to $48.

Buying jeans that are too tight to wear an IWB holster is also infringing on my rights to have sufficent space for my junk.

I tried the shrink-to-fit, but never could really nail down the right size because the size changes differently from one pair to another as they shrink. I finally gave up and started buying the Original Fit. They don't seem as robust but they're a lot more predictable. They always fit just right.

I've bought both STF and already shrank 501s. One thing I couldn't get right is minimal color fading on the first hot water bath.
And, yes, when I first tried by wearing the jeans in a hot bath was uncomfortable...

Original Fit: The waist isn't too high or low, kind of in the middle, about 2 inches below your navel. A little extra room in the thigh and butt area, but not too much. Leg openings drop nicely over chukka type boots or any lace-up boots, but struggle dropping over larger western or slip-on work boot shafts. With the latter 2, they can ride up a bit from being too tight. Comfortable and roomy in the calf area. The leg is tapered gently on the way down, and is cut pretty straight with a medium leg opening. I wear them virtually every day and they're super comfortable. Hope that helps.

Thumbs up and rep to the OP. 501's have taken a hit on quality over the years. Unless you drop $150+ on a pair made from Japanese salvedge. At $25 it's a great deal.
