Fine hardware, but TP Link software sucks.

For example, the main deco will rotate phoning Facebook, Google, Linked In, and Reddit every ~50 seconds. Also, every time you use the Deco smartphone app, the app (still) phones Avira. If you have a DNS blocker you can stop this data collection, but it'd be even better if TP Link just knocked it off.

I think that is 1 month. I have asked several Costco locations. They have consistantly replied that they can match any price reductions at Costco upto 1 month back from the time you claim at register.

Unless they have removed paywall from parental controls, the parental controls are pretty basic and a huge step backwards from what was offered via HomeCare in products like Deco M5

Compared to both my Orbi systems that got more and more problematic with frequent recent firmware updates, I'm extremely happy after switching to this exact system. If the system is exploitable out in the wild unpatched for long periods of time, I understand that's an issue. I'll take stability over Netgear constantly updating and making my hardware problematic after the warranty period is up.

See those dates one is within 6 months the other in the last month. The x60 is as stable as it gets but also varies on the hardware version there are over 4 of them.

Tp-Link does regular updates and has for over 2 years now for almost all their product lines (deco 100%), but if something is not broken then why try to fix it, unlike a few other brands who fix one thing and break another so they have to rush to push another firmware out, I wont name names but you probably know who that is.

How do you know it's TP Link that's doing that and not your devices?

They followed Netgear and Eero, only brand that offers a better package for free is Asus. So this is nothing unusual but yeah not consumer minded.

The AX5700 can do over 1Gbps over wifi to proper clients the AXE5300 will max out around 850ish Mbps the AX5700 even though it does not have Wifi 6E is superior in total bandwidth/throughput and also I believe has more internal antennas but dont quote me on that one.

Yes people complained and complained and they are working on removing that part from people who dont have the paid subscription. When thats going to happen no idea, but its not like its a untrust worthy brand they are one of the leaders in active/real time virus and network protection.

Netgear does the same when you get their paid subscription, and who knows how much data google and amazon collect secretly off people. Which we all know they have done in the past and got slapped for it. No matter what their data collection policy says.

These the X60s are dual band if your doing a pure wireless setup the triband AXE5300 will be superior and they are also normally about 100Mbps faster compared to the X60s. That being said if your dont need internet speeds over 700-800Mbps the X60's will do just fine and you can pocket $100. So it depends more on your needs and wants.

Its hit or miss, some people have problems some people dont. If you have issues turn off roaming see what happens, if its off turn on roaming see what happens. If both dont work reposition the nodes so there is not a lot of overlap and that should in most cases fix the problem. The issue is not with TP-Link, Ring has horrible drivers and they have problems with most mesh products so they are the problem.

I am guessing hes just guessing cause he sees traffic leave, but is not actually tracing it to the nodes or routers, when its probably coming off the smart phones and electronics in his house.

There is nothing in the firmware for this to happen, and besides Avira which does happen the rest I am pretty sure its unrelated. When I had the AX5700 never had that issue at all besides the Avira.

Bought the 2 pack from the prime deal and honestly disappointed. 2/5 ghz bandwidth tops out around 400mbps, the 6e 6ghz at around 600mps.

Since switching this out most things work fine (ring, Google, home assistant) but looks like some intermittent connection issues as my Google nest displays now regularly (a few times a day) complain of no connection before restoring and flipping back to photo frame.

I'd hoped these would prevent me having to run cat 5/6 through the house but really haven't given the performance boost I'd hoped.

Oh and the admin software is very basic, can't even set the 2ghz and 5ghz on separate ssids, all you can do is turn on/off 2ghz/5ghz. 6ghz can be on different ssid. Feels very limited coming from a merlin firmware router.

This isn't correct, I have ring doorbell and AXE5300 from Costco and all my IoT devices works fine including Ring.

I have Hue, Lutron, Eufy Camera, Eufy Doorlock, MyQ Garage door, Ring doorbell, ring stickup camera, I have zero issues so far.

Apart IoT devices, my wifi connection is solid without any issues, been using it for few months now and no issues at all in general, and BTW I use its wireless backhaul so no hard wired connection b/w the three decos.

The app and customization is not that great for a power user, but you can easily bypass it by using a separate FW device (I use Firewalla Gold as my router) and just use AXE5300 as WiFi AP's.

These work with pi-hole? I was never able to get my deco m9+ to work with pi-hole.
