See those dates one is within 6 months the other in the last month. The x60 is as stable as it gets but also varies on the hardware version there are over 4 of them.

Tp-Link does regular updates and has for over 2 years now for almost all their product lines (deco 100%), but if something is not broken then why try to fix it, unlike a few other brands who fix one thing and break another so they have to rush to push another firmware out, I wont name names but you probably know who that is.

I bought this 2 months ago at full price. Upgraded from a ISP modem/router combo since wifi was at one end of the house. In a 1500 square foot house I run one at one end of the house, one in the living room (visible range), and one in the master and I get full speeds using 6ghz for wireless backhaul. The admin stuff is barebones and you pretty much have no options if you've worked with any other brand.
I have had without any drops or having to reset routers all the time.

I have used Linksys, Netgear, and other brands before for previous wifi generations and it has been the most stable and consistent WIFI system I've used so far

Just picked this up at Costco to replace my Netgear Orbi RBK53. Simple drop-in replacement as I'm using my Edgerouter ER4 as my actual router, so the Deco setup is as an access point only. So far so good!

So tired of companies putting basic functionality like scheduling behind a subscription paywall. Consumers are going to have to kick back against this kind of thing hard or else it will get worse and worse. You thought it was bad when BMW decided to charge $12 a month for heated seats, just wait until you need a subscription to unlock your front door and flush your toilet. Hooray for the corporate future!

Would it be better to just pay $80 more for the two pack of x90s (AX6600)? I don't need 3 units for the area I'm covering. The house has a very open floor plan. I did notice these have an extra ethernet port, but the x90s support higher speeds. I currently have 1Gps speeds through my ISP. I understand the Wi-Fi 6 is used for wireless backhaul, so my devices themselves won't really benefit from the advertised Wi-Fi 6E. Having a hard time deciding which is truly the better value.

I have 1.4 Gbps service and 2.5 Gbps switches. I'm thinking to maximize speeds I would need my mesh units to have 2.5 Gbps ports like those on the x90s; if I find I need to use wireless backhaul for a 3rd unit then I would also need 6e, which the x90s don't have.

Is it possible to use these independently as a single home router for small spaces?

i.e. me and 2 other friends split the deal so for $100 each we each end up with a 6e router/access point?

Only thing that concerns me is the antennas are internal here. The AXE5400 might do better as a standalone, but is $200.

Just got my new deco mesh to replace my 8+ year old tp link router. Can I first hook the deco directly to my computer and configure there with static ips and setting wireless names and such to limit downtime. That way I can replace and everything "should" match up? Thanks
