$1/lb is decent. I got a set of these from Walmart a couple years ago and they are good. I have since got a set of adjustable dumbbells to save on space but if you have the space and $$$ then going with a full dumbbell setup is the optimal way.

Tried getting some of these rubber dumbbells last summer, every one I received I could not get rid of the rubber smell. Living in a cramped apartment, had to get rid of them.

Thank you for posting. We have 15lb and 25lb dumbbells and my wife has been wanting 20lb dumbbells, but the price hike has been preventing us from buying. It'll be nice to have 20s for her in our home gym.

I bought a pair of these last month. The smell isn't as bad as the Tru Grit ones that I got last year fwiw.

Rubber off-gases for months, and these all look the same, probably all from the same couple factories.

If you're rich, get the urethane ones.

Thank you got a few. Last time the 35s sat on the covered part of our deck for about 2 weeks to "air out". They didn't smell as bad after that.

Nice! I picked up the 40 and 45 lb ones. The smell is easy to fix. Just wipe with a damp cloth and let the smell come out for a week or two in the garage.
