one of the best entry level keyboards out there. had this board for about 4 years and finally retired it just 6 months ago and passed it down to someone who needed a keyboard. I gotta say the corsiar icue program that lets you set profiles for this board is awesome. If you want marcos this is the board to get with about 6 more keys you can set macros on. spills, keys slamming on the keys, plus its quiet as well. Not bad for a membrane for sure.

these aren't cherry mx keys right? seems like cherry mx are become less common now. or are the new ones are just as good and better bang for the buck now?

Thank you for this! I decided to go this route for my WFH setup. My work provided us with the older K55 for the office and it works for what I need to do. Having one in my home means I can be better productive with those macro keys.

Some of the post-patent clones are decent now, some are still bad. Depends on the brand. Regardless, I'm pretty sure these aren't mechanical, likely standard membrane.

I purchased this keyboard on clearance at Walmart for $20. The membrane style is great for when you don't want loud key presses. The RGB is a little disappointing because it's only 3 regions so the transition effects won't look that great. I would wait for the price to be a bit lower like $25

Thanks for the heads up just pulled this from rtings.com "The Corsair K55 RGB PRO is an update of the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard. The PRO has five RGB zones compared to three on the original, and it has significantly improved latency. Its rubber dome switches also require less operating force, and it has onboard memory for saving customized settings, which the original lacks."

Honestly a basic mech keyboard goes for around this price now, of you're concerned about noise, red switches are fine and something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical...845&sr=8-6

Is a better deal imo. If you really need rgb and full size I have seen them around 30-60 also on average, even off brand mech keys are better then membrane.

I grabbed the pro lite with no plan rest, used/acceptable for 30 bucks. Thanks!
