It can pick up typical screws and it holds them very well. It's not what I would call strong though. It can just barely pick up a large 1.5" sheet metal screw.

Most of the screwdrivers in my set failed to pick up most anything. I'll buy a magnetizer and see if that resolves it. If you don't have a magnetizer ($5), add that to the price you'll spend. If it doesn't help, I'll return them although I'm not sure it's a bad price for such a set even if non-magnetic.
That's sad to hear. Have the set in my cart. If it can't hold a screw probably not worth it then.
