Notifications don’t link correctly

There is a bug: when you get a notification of a reply to a thread the notification link which opens to the app doesn't take you to the reply, rather to the start of whole thread. So you have to search through the discussion thread to find the reply.

This is from within the app, not Slickdeals website that then takes you into the app?
When you get a notification, is it the web based one or is it the Slickdeals mobile app based one?
See next post for use case/workflow with screen shots from the iPhone slickdeals app.
1. Open Slickdeals iPhone App
2. Go to Slickdeals profile -> notifications
3. Select a "You were quoted in a thread" from the list of notifications
4. App opens the correct thread but does not take you to the quoted reply in the discussion thread.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this functionality no longer behaving as expected. We think we know where this issue is coming from, and are looking to add a fix to one of our future release cycles. It should be completed 2-4 weeks from now. If the issue what we think it is, there should be no need to update the iOS App to receive this bugfix.
If the issue continues to be a problem after 4 weeks, please reach out again and we will provide an update on the status of the fix.
Thanks again,
Christopher Gulliver

I'm sorry for the delay in addressing this issue. I understand it's inconvenient, and I apologize for your experience. With the last response there was hope that this was a backend issue that could be resolved quickly, but that did not hold out, as such, we are delayed on fixing this until the next release at the earliest. That said, we're further behind on the next release than we anticipated. We're expecting the next release to come out near the end of January, but even then in a limited rollout. This is contrary to our two week release schedule of the past, as we're doing a lot of work under the hood, basically rebuilding the entire app. We're looking forward to getting back to our bi-monthly releases in the new year, and with that releasing new bug fixes, new features, and working toward giving you an an amazing experience in the years to come.
I acknowledge that this doesn't do much to ease your pain right now, but thank you for your patience and understanding!
Thank you,
Christopher Gulliver
