While the watch product looks interesting (as a possible emergency talk and text line) - not very clear whether you can switch service providers, and the service cost on this is quite high.
Interesting option; thanks for sharing, but I'd request you to update the original post to call out the service cost; the current wording appears to imply that the 9.99 cost is available for a monthly plan

Far as phones go,
I wouldn't pay more thatn $50 for whats being offered spec wise, the non pro. and FYI when this phone debuted, 2 whole years ago, it was sold for $99. Now 2 years later its $50 more without this promo.
google can lock your phone similarly with Famliy Link on ANY phone.
