Very good electric toothbrush for the money. You don't need the fancier features of the higher models, and this is way better than some crappy Quip or similar BS electric toothbrush.

They consider the included brush head when they put those numbers in the specs (higher models include better heads). The 4100 does 62k brush movements per minute which is the same as the highest models. For the most part, you can just buy the brush heads that are included in the better models and use them with the 4100.

EDIT: Looks like the pictures show a C2 head on both the new and old models. I'm not really sure what to make of that together with the specs.

Is it generally known to only get official sonicare replacement brushheads? Or are generic third party ones generally good minus maybe more stiffer bristles? Brush heads seem quite expensive if replacing every month

I've been using these for years - started with a DiamondClean and ended up with a bunch of 4100s that seem just as good. I get the 3rd party heads on Amazon, seem to work just fine.

Clean ultrasonically, which seems to improve the reports I get from the hygienist on trips to the dentist. I don't get any complaints from there about needing to brush more since I started using Sonicare ~10 yeara ago. I'm no expert, but I trust that the hygienists are.
